Meet Riccardo Mariti
You’re here to work out whether I’m the right person for a decision this size. Fair question, so here’s the short version. I started in property in London in 1984 and have worked in it since, across Spain, Italy and the United States, alongside building and running hospitality ventures and other businesses. Today I’m a real estate professional here in Palm Beach County.
Four decades gets you something you can’t shortcut. You’ve seen a market at the top, on the way down, and flat for years. You learn how little of what people tell each other near a turn holds up. So when I tell you what a house is worth, it’s a read from someone who has been wrong before and remembers how.
Moving to a new country teaches you what the research leaves out. You arrive knowing nobody, make your best guess about where to live, and about a year later find out what the place is actually like. Usually the expensive way. That’s most of why I work as I do: you should know what a town is like to live in before you buy into it.
The other half of my working life has been hospitality, which is a business about how people really use a place: where they gather, and what they walk straight past. It changes what you notice in a house. You’ll hear which rooms you’d actually live in, and which ones only photograph well.
Some of my work has been outside property: contributing to executive education programs at Harvard and the Thunderbird School of Global Management, with leaders from companies like Tesla, Bosch and Gartner. What you learn in those rooms is how people who decide for a living want to be dealt with: the trade-offs and the downside, then room to decide. You’ll get the same here.
Whether you’re relocating, looking for a second home, or getting a property ready to sell, what you get from me is the same: a straight answer about what you’re buying or selling, and the work done properly around your timing.
How We'd Actually Work Together
It starts with a conversation about you: what you’re trying to do, when you need it done, and what the next chapter is supposed to look like. Everything after that depends on it.
If you’re buying, that means a read on each town and each house: which one suits how you’d actually live here, and what a place is really worth. You’ll hear what’s wrong with a house as clearly as what’s right about it.
If you’re selling, it means a straight view of what your home is worth today, how it should be presented, and which buyers are realistically going to want it.
From your first question through to closing, you’re dealing with me. There’s a real team behind the work and you’ll feel it in how quickly things move, but one person knows your search and answers for it.
